Bookings
How do I book a service?
You search by city and service, open the profile of whoever fits and ask for the meet-and-greet, which is free. Once that first appointment has happened, you book dates and times from the profile itself. The booking is not confirmed until the sitter accepts it.
Can I book without meeting the sitter first?
Technically yes, but it is not a good idea and the platform itself warns you. The meet-and-greet costs nothing and is where problems surface: a dog uneasy with that person, a house with an impossible staircase, or an expectation that did not fit.
How far in advance do I need to book?
For a single walk, a day usually suffices. For boarding on ordinary dates, one or two weeks. For Christmas, Easter and the second half of August, months: those are the weeks when everybody travels at once.
How do I cancel a booking?
From the booking itself, in your account. Each sitter publishes their cancellation policy on their profile before you book. Typically a cancellation made in good time costs nothing and a last-minute one does, because that slot was already blocked.
What happens if the sitter cancels?
It costs you nothing and you immediately receive available profiles for that same slot. Repeated cancellations affect the sitter’s profile, precisely because they leave someone without a solution at short notice.
Safety and trust
What does a verified profile mean?
That we have checked their identity document against the account holder, held an interview and, where there was previous experience, contacted whoever hired them. An unverified profile is flagged as such.
Do I have to hand over my house keys?
For walks and home visits, yes. They are handed over at the meet-and-greet, every entry is logged with its time inside the booking, and they are returned at the end. If you would rather not, boarding and day care require no keys.
What do I do if my animal falls ill during a service?
The sitter calls you immediately. In case they cannot reach you, it is worth leaving a signed veterinary authorisation with your usual clinic and a spending limit. It is requested before the service, not in the middle of an emergency.
How do I report a problem?
From the booking itself, the same day and with photos if there are any. The time log of the service is attached automatically. We review the report and both versions before deciding, and a confirmed incident affects the sitter’s profile.
Is my dog’s location tracked?
Only during the walk and attached to that specific booking. Outside the service nobody is tracked, neither the animal nor the sitter. The detail is in the privacy policy.
Payments and prices
Who sets the price?
Each sitter, within what their area supports. The platform imposes no rates. The bands we publish on the pricing page are indicative market ranges, so you can form an idea before looking at profiles.
When am I charged?
The charge is made when the booking is confirmed. Cancellations within the deadline are refunded in full; outside it, the policy the sitter publishes on their profile applies.
Is there a commission?
Yes, the platform withholds a commission on each service. It appears itemised before you accept, both in the amount the owner pays and in the settlement the sitter receives. There are no charges you cannot see.
Can I pay the sitter directly?
No, and it also falls outside the terms of use. A service paid outside the platform ends up with no time log, no report, no incident procedure and none of the guarantees the platform exists for.
Do I get an invoice?
You receive the receipt for each service in your account. If you need an invoice in a company’s name, you can indicate it in the billing details before booking.
Services
What is the difference between boarding and day care?
The night. In day care your dog spends the day in company and sleeps at home with you; in boarding it stays overnight at the sitter’s home. Day care solves a work schedule, boarding solves a trip.
Is a home visit or boarding better?
It depends on the animal. A cat is almost always better in its own home with visits, because what unsettles it is the change of territory. A young, sociable dog facing two weeks alone may cope worse than staying with company in another house.
How long should a walk be?
Half an hour solves the physiological need in the middle of the day. A full hour is real exercise and usually shows in the behaviour by the evening. For young dogs of active breeds, the difference between the two is considerable.
Do you accept animals other than dogs and cats?
Many sitters look after rabbits, ferrets and other small mammals with the same home-visit format, but not all. It is stated on each profile, and if you do not see it, ask before booking.
Can my dog go on a group walk?
Only if it is sociable and balanced, and always after a meet-and-greet. A reactive dog goes on individual walks without exception: putting it in a group is the fastest way to cause an incident.
For sitters
How do I start working as a sitter?
You create your profile describing your experience and your real area, we verify your identity and we talk with you. Then you publish rates, availability and which animals you accept, and you can start receiving requests.
Do I need a qualification?
No. We ask for real experience and that what you declare is true and you can explain it. Accredited training adds value and appears on your profile, but it is not an entry requirement.
Do I have to register as self-employed?
If you provide services regularly and for profit, Spanish law requires registration with the tax authority and the RETA. We cannot decide that for you or replace an accountant, but we do warn you that the obligation exists before you start.
Can I turn down requests?
Always, and without justifying yourself. Declining in time is far better than accepting and cancelling. What does affect your profile is accepting and failing to show, because it leaves someone without a solution the same day.
When do I get paid?
After completing the service and sending the report, according to the payment calendar in your dashboard. The commission is deducted at that moment and itemised in each settlement.
Account and data
How do I delete my account?
From your account settings. Erasure is a right you can exercise at any time. We keep only what tax and accounting legislation requires us to keep, and for the period that legislation sets.
What data do you store about me?
What is needed to provide the service and charge for it: identity, contact, service address, animals and bookings. You can consult and download them from your account. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
How do I change my email or password?
From the account settings. Changing your email requires confirming the new one, and changing your password signs you out on other devices.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your data is not sold or passed on for commercial purposes. The processors we need to operate — payments, hosting, email — are listed in the privacy policy along with their purpose.
Didn't find what you were after?
Write to us and we'll reply. We'd rather field an extra question than deal with an avoidable problem.
