What you need to start

Not much, but none of it is negotiable. All of it is checked before your profile goes live.

  • Of age, with verifiable identity

    An official document checked against the person opening the account. Without this step the profile never publishes.

  • Real experience with animals

    We don't ask for qualifications. We ask that what you claim is true and that you can explain it in a five-minute conversation.

  • Availability you can sustain

    Two afternoons a week is fine. What isn't fine is accepting a fixed routine and dropping out on the third Tuesday.

  • A specific area

    Define the neighbourhoods you actually work in. An inflated radius turns into late arrivals and cancellations that you pay for.

How we check you

The verified badge means something specific, which is why it takes work to get.

  1. Identity document

    We check the document is valid and that it belongs to the person creating the account.

  2. Interview

    A conversation about your experience, which animals you accept, and what you'd do in three specific situations that go wrong.

  3. References

    If you've looked after animals before, we contact whoever hired you. If you haven't, your profile says so rather than glossing over it.

What you can make

Real market ranges, not projections. You set your rate within what your area supports.

An hour-long walk sits between €10 and €18 depending on city and time of day, and a night of boarding between €20 and €40. What determines your income isn't the rate but the repeat business: three clients on a fixed three-days-a-week routine are worth more than fifteen one-off bookings a month. The platform takes a commission on each service, itemised before you accept.

Sitters set their own rates. These ranges are indicative and are here to give you a sense of the market.

  3. Publish your rates, availability and which animals you accept.
  4. Receive your first request and do the free meet-and-greet.
  5. Complete the service, send the report and get paid.
Questions

Sitter questions

Do I need to register as self-employed?
If you provide services regularly and for profit, Spanish law requires registration with the tax authority and with the self-employed social security scheme. The platform can't decide that for you or replace an accountant, but we do tell you the obligation exists before you start.
Can I turn down a booking?
Always, and without justifying yourself. Declining in good time is far better than accepting and cancelling. What does affect your profile is accepting and then failing, because that leaves somebody stranded on the day.
When do I get paid?
After completing the service and sending the report, on the payment schedule shown in your dashboard. The commission is deducted at that point and itemised on every statement.
What if an animal bites me or breaks something?
You report it from the booking on the same day, with photos if there are any. The case goes to review and is resolved using both accounts and the service log. Carrying your own public liability insurance is strongly advisable.
Can I work weekends only?
Yes. Plenty of people start that way. What matters is that your published availability is the real one: an optimistic calendar produces cancellations, and cancellations are what sink a new profile.
