Shelters

We work with the people already doing this

Shelters have held this up for decades on volunteers and no budget. What we can add is visibility and hands.

What we offer

What a shelter gets

None of this costs the organisation anything. We don't charge to publish animals or to appear in the directory.

  1. Published adoption listings

Every animal up for adoption, with its real description and its city, linked from that city's page.

  2. A place on the city pages

All 24 city pages include a block for local shelters, and appearing there is free.

  3. Access to volunteers

Plenty of people who sign up to look after animals also want to put hours into a shelter. We put you in touch.

  4. Foster homes

The platform's verified sitters are, by definition, people with space and experience. That's the profile you're looking for.

How to join

Three steps and that's it

  1. Write to us from the contact page, naming the organisation and where it operates.
  2. We verify that the shelter exists and is properly constituted.
  3. We give you access to publish listings and appear in the cities you cover.

Volunteering

If you want to help without adopting

Shelters need weekend walkers, people for transport runs, temporary foster homes and hands for adoption days. It doesn't take a big commitment: one Saturday a month of walks is real, steady help, which is exactly what's in shortest supply.

Organisations

Shelters we work with

We haven't signed any agreements yet. When we do, the list will appear here with each organisation's real name, and not before.

Do you run a shelter?

Write to us and we'll set you up. We charge nothing for this.
